We are getting in touch to announce and remind everyone that
Fayette Gives, the annual online “day of giving” to local charities, is on
November 10, 2022, between 8 am and 8 pm. All donations EEUCC receives through
Fayette Gives will directly support expanding our building. We recently received
a 21st CCLC grant that will provide out-of-school time programming for
elementary students in grades 1-5 at Lafayette, Ben Franklin, and Waynesburg
Central elementary schools for the next five years.
While we are very excited to continue delivering after-school and summer school
enrichment services and have an expansive 21st CCLC budget to work with, that
money is earmarked. We need additional office space to make room for our new
employees while ensuring that we still maintain all of our other programs such as
the Little Legends Daycare, truancy mitigation services, and many other
initiatives designed to lift up the East End community and Fayette County.
Adding on to our building to allow for additional administrative space will not
only fulfill an immediate necessity but will also give more room to grow current
programs and add new ones. One example is that we are currently working
towards attempting to add Pre-K Counts which will provide high-quality pre-
kindergarten services to at-risk children at no cost to families.
Any consideration of donation to help with our building expansion costs is
greatly appreciated. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact
me by phone (724-366-0415) or by email: sstrange@eeucc.org.
