Kids for Kids

Welcome to Kids for Kids, where creativity meets compassion in partnership with the National Road Heritage Corridor. Our program is a heartwarming initiative that intertwines art, empathy, and literacy to bring joy and support to those facing challenges, especially among fellow students and elderly residents in nursing care homes.

At Kids for Kids, our mission is to cultivate a nurturing environment where young minds can thrive while making a positive impact in the lives of others. We believe in harnessing the power of art, empathy, and literacy to not only address challenges but also to foster essential life skills and emotional resilience.

In collaboration with various youth organizations and nursing home facilities, our program revolves around gathering real-life stories of resilience from students and residents. Our dedicated students then channel these narratives into inspiring artworks, guided by our skilled art facilitators at the East End United Community Center afterschool program and Waynesburg Central Elementary School afterschool program.

Through monthly art projects, Kids for Kids not only nurtures the artistic talents of our students but also promotes crucial social, emotional, and academic growth. These projects serve as a bridge between generations, encouraging meaningful connections between students, families, and the wider community.

Our goal is to create a space where students not only excel academically but also develop the empathy and skills needed for a brighter future. Join us in this incredible journey of creativity, compassion, and community building.
